Students set up tents, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and chanting ‘All eyes on Rafah’ after Israeli forces launched their latest assault on Gaza’s border city with Egypt. Police officers were called by the university after students defied orders to vacate the campus courtyard. Footage shows protesters being dragged away by officers and detained while activists tried to form a human chain surrounding the camp. The demonstration is the latest in a wave of pro-Palestinian protests across universities worldwide. Hundreds of students have been arrested in the US after protests swept across college campuses before spreading to Europe.
