Shock and anger as A-level algorithm strips pupils of their grades

Leyton Sixth Form College has had 47% of students A-levels downgraded from predicted grades, leaving many disappointed. Private schools seem to have benefited most from this year’s A-levels results change, fuelling claims the system is disadvantaging pupils from poorer backgrounds. Prime Minister Boris Johnson dismissed the accusations, saying the marks are ‘robust’ and ‘dependable’.
