The Health Secretary Matt Hancock has put his support behind Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, telling Sky News “he is doing his best”. Mr Hancock said the embattled cabinet colleague who is facing calls to resign, was trying to do his best in “difficult circumstances” and the focus should remain on reopening schools in September.
