Dozens of Armenian women reportedly turned up to an army recruitment center on Thursday, wanting to join the fight against #Azerbaijan in #NagornoKarabakh. Television cameras at the center in the capital, Yerevan concentrated on several young women who were seemingly applying for military roles as the conflict in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region continues. Harutyun Hakobyan, a police lieutenant colonel, said that 98 women had already been sent to the frontline and that nearly 400 women will eventually be deployed. Violence broke out in Nagorno-Karabakh on Sunday. The region is within Azerbaijan but is controlled by ethnic Armenian forces backed by the #Armenia‘s government.
