The Health Secretary Matt Hancock says a coronavirus vaccination programme using the Pfizer jab will be started early next week. It means the UK will become the first country in the world to approve the Pfizer / BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for use. But a ‘vaccine passport’ was not part of the vaccine plan, Mr Hancock said. Studies have shown the jab is 95% effective and works in all age groups.
