Breaking ranks with the European Union, Hungary has approved the use of the Astrazeneca-Oxford vaccine as well as Russia’s Sputnik V, both still unapproved by European health authorities. Budapest said it has reached a deal with Moscow to buy large quantities of the vaccine, in a boost for Russia who wants to grow its share in the worldwide vaccine market. But by authorizing them before Brussels, it doesn’t mean Budapest is breaking EU’s rules, RFI’s correspondent Florence La Bruyère explains.
