According to figures published by Public Health France, around 433,000 new cases of cancer are now detected in France each year. The number has doubled since 1990. Experts note a stark increase in the number of new cases among women, a hike directly correlated to their increased tabacco consumption. FRANCE 24’s Science Editor Julia Sieger tells us more.
