Imran Khan: It’s a total crackdown on my party | Conflict Zone

Pakistan’s former prime minister, Imran Khan, who has been out of power since April 2022, says he’s an outsider. Khan pointed to what he called two corrupt families of his political opponents and a military that has played an oversized role in Pakistan’s politics, including military rulers who imposed martial law. Citing the nearly 180 criminal charges filed against him over the last year, Khan said that if not in jail, he plans to contest the country’s next general election but says the current government has arrested some 10,000 party workers and that its “entire leadership is underground or in jail.”
