Letby was accused of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder 10 other infants at the Countess of Chester’s neonatal unit between June 2015 and June 2016. She has refused to enter court to hear some verdicts and will not appear for her sentencing on Monday. Former justice secretary, Sir Robert Buckland, told Sky News that “we should live link to her cell”, giving her no option but to be present for the hearing.
