BRICS is the past, ‘BRICS Plus’ is the future. The current five-member group of emerging economies Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa agreed to welcome more nations to the bloc starting next year. Including Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the so-called BRICS Plus will then consist of eleven nations.
