One in five commercial ships are now avoiding the Red Sea because of the threat of attack, according to the International Chamber of Shipping.
- WATCH: Leave it to the Al Jazeera reporter to claim w/o evidence it’s the U.S. — not Iran or Houthis — who’s esclating matters toward a Middle East war in the Red Sea b/c commercial vessels can’t travel safely. John Kirby was NOT having any of this pro-terrorist propaganda. – clip at Twitter
- The Red Sea route closure due to the escalation of geopolitical conflict has led to an INSANE rise in shipping costs. Furthermore, the delays in shipping goods have the potential to snowball into a major supply chain shock which can flare up inflationary pressures. No matter where you live, this unprecedented event has the potential to disrupt your lives. – Wall Street Silver
- Shipping Container’s lives matter, but Palestinian lives don’t? just read this joint statement by the governments of the US, Japan, UK, Bahrain and company that indicate quite clearly that shipping containers in the Red Sea mean more to the “rules-based international order” than the lives of Palestinian children in Gaza. It talks about holding bad actors accountable for unlawful attacks. It talks about the “rules based international order”. What does it say about these governments that they can come together to make this threatening statement against the Houthis in Yemen who are standing in solidarity with the occupied and oppressed Palestinian people being ethnically cleansed, but they can’t make the same statement about Israel. When it comes to Israel, “rules based international order”doesn’t apply and they are never bad actors who must be held accountable for unlawful attacks. Palestinians would really love to get the a sliver of the amount of attention and support and solidarity as these shipping containers. – Vid at Twitter 1 min 20 secs
