The Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury has defended a Conservative MP who, according to reports in The Times, gave out the personal phone numbers of colleagues to someone he met on a dating app.
Gareth Davies said William Wragg had "rightly apologised" but added "people react in different ways" in such situations.
Mr Wragg told The Times he had handed over the numbers because an unidentified individual had compromising material of him.
Mr Davies refused to say whether the senior Tory should lose the party Whip over the incident.
