In an interview with FRANCE 24, former ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo reacted to the court’s request for arrest warrants over the war in Gaza. The ICC has faced heavy criticism from Israel, the US, Germany and Canada since it announced it was seeking warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Moreno Ocampo called this reaction "disappointing". For him, attacking the ICC prosecutor’s decision instead of focusing on the crimes is a "huge mistake".
