Kenyan President William Ruto has announced the withdrawal of a controversial fianance bill after sustained protests against the legislation. Police opened fire at demonstrators who stormed the parliament building and burned government offices. At least 22 people died in the protests. The mostly young protesters, were angry with the propsed tax hikes.
