Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy says the government will review the use of "dynamic pricing" to sell concert tickets.
A consultation into ticket resale websites had already been announced by the government, and will start in the autumn.
It comes after music fans voiced anger over massively inflated ticket prices for next year’s Oasis tour.
Tickets went on sale on Saturday but many fans spent hours queuing online only to find prices had soared by hundreds of pounds once they tried to make their purchases.
