Landlocked Mongolia seeks peace, solutions to indirect effects sanctions on Russia

"We are being hit indirectly, and as a developing country, it’s very difficult"

A senior Mongolian official speaks with TRT World on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in NYC about the impact that Western sanctions on Russia are having on his country.

Odbayar Erdenetsogt, foreign policy advisor to Mongolia’s president, says that though Mongolia maintains excellent relations with Ukraine, the European Union, Russia and the United States, the impact of Western sanctions on Russia prove to be far-reaching.

"This is not fair because we would like to prosper just like any other nation," Erdenetsogt says.
