A hospital has apologised after an NHS nurse was struck-off for abusing her position of trust, receiving thousands of pounds from an elderly man she’d been privately caring for.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council ruled Anita George “abused” her position of trust to gain a substantial inheritance from Ian Percival.
In an exclusive interview with Sky News from their home in Australia, his children say they feel sick about the abuse, as figures show financial exploitation of the elderly is at epidemic levels.
