US Vice President JD Vance attends a Naval Academy event as President Donald Trump makes tariff threats on Truth Social.
The US president has threatened to impose 50% tariffs on the EU after saying that trade talks with Brussels were "going nowhere".
Mr Trump also said that Apple would be forced to pay 25% tariffs on its iPhones unless it moves all its manufacturing to the US.
