Donald Trump has threatened to levy a new 50% tariff on EU goods imported into the US – and a 25% tariff on Apple iPhones.
In a series of Truth Social posts, he said trade negotiations with the European Union were "going nowhere!" and he was looking to impose the new tariff from 1 June.
And he warned Apple that the 25% tariff would happen if iPhones were not manufactured in the US.
Apple was looking to shift its manufacturing from China to India after the US president launched a trade war on Beijing.
