Rights groups accuse Trump of abusing powers in LA | DW News

700 Marines and more than 4,000 National Guard troops have been sent to Los Angeles. They are tasked with curbing the recent violent protests against Trump’s immigration raids and to protect federal immigration agents. California’s Democratic governor Gavin Newsom has called the action illegal. Since last Friday thousands have taken to the streets, with dozens arrested.
