Gems, jewellery and textiles are just some of the sectors that will be impacted by Donald Trump’s new tariffs on India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was one of the first world leaders to visit the US president upon his return to the White House in January. The pair even set an ambitious target of doubling their trade by 2030. But less than six months later, that relationship appears to be at its lowest point. Smita Sharma reports from New Delhi.
