US president Donald Trump will make an announcement from the White House after speaking with Russian president Vladimir Putin today – ahead of his planned meeting with Ukrainian president Zelenskyy on Friday.
The President told reporters on Sunday that he "might have to speak to Russia" first before giving Ukraine access to Tomahawk missile systems, suggesting he would use the threat of the missiles being deployed to Ukraine as a bargaining chip of some kind.
