Trucks came to a complete halt at the Jeronimo–Santa Teresa border crossing as protesters blocked the road in opposition to Mexico’s proposed water law reform.
The new legislation would overhaul the country’s water-governance system by banning the transfer of water concessions and imposing stricter reviews and limits on their use.
