Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is heading to Istanbul for talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Ankara has stepped up its diplomatic and strategic role in the Horn of Africa, and emerges as a key mediator, security partner and economic ally for Mogadishu.
