Tabqah secured after YPG/SDF withdrawal, bridges left destroyed

The Syrian army has established control over the Tabqah district after securing Deir Hafir and Maskanah west of the Euphrates River. Under a ceasefire and integration agreement reached between Damascus and the YPG, the Syrian Army continues to secure territories stretching from the Raqqa region east of the Euphrates River to the Turkish border.

The YPG terror group destroyed several bridges in the area in an attempt to prevent the Syrian army’s advance towards Raqqa.
