Afghan war veteran Andy Reid has told Sky News he finds President Trump’s comments "very hurtful and harmful".
It comes after Trump claimed NATO allies stayed away from the front lines in the conflict.
Mr Reid, who lost three limbs while serving in Afghanistan in 2009, said: "He clearly weren’t there was he? So he can’t have experienced what happened out on the ground and obviously we were on the front line fighting.
"I think it’s very, very disrespectful the comments he’s come out with and very hurtful and harmful as well."
