The Bayraktar AKINCI unmanned combat aerial vehicle successfully destroyed a target drone over the Black Sea during an air-to-air firing test, using the EREN loitering munition. Developed with co-operation with Roketsan, a Turkish weapons manufacturer, the test marks a milestone in Türkiye’s defence capabilities amid rising kamikaze UAV and cruise missile threats across NATO’s eastern flank.
