Thousands of leaflets were dropped by an Israeli aircraft over neighbourhoods in Beirut with a barcode that the Lebanese army warned residents not to scan, and a note in Arabic calling on the Lebanese people to work on removing the weapons of “Hezbollah, Iran’s shield in Lebanon”, and stating that “Lebanon is your choice, not the choice of others”.
