Newly released footage from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) purportedly shows the charred wreckage of American aircraft scattered across a desert region in southern Isfahan.
The Iranian military claims it destroyed three US aircraft; two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 transport plane, during a search-and-rescue operation for a downed American fighter pilot.The claims stand in direct contrast to statements from US President Donald Trump, who announced on April 5 that the F-15E crew member had been successfully recovered.
Despite the US confirmation, Tehran declared the rescue mission a "failure," with state media reporting that strikes connected to the operation killed at least five people in southwestern Iran.
