Mounted police patrolled the Turkish capital, Ankara, as authorities stepped up security preparations ahead of the NATO summit on July 7–8. Officers on horseback were deployed in the busy Kizilay district and Kugulu Park to help maintain public order in crowded areas.
The meeting will be the 36th NATO summit and the second hosted by Türkiye, following the 2004 summit in Istanbul.
