At least one person was killed and nearly 100 others were hospitalised after a crowd crush broke out during the annual Rath Yatra chariot festival in Puri, eastern India. The centuries-old Hindu festival draws more than a million devotees each year as massive decorated chariots carrying deities are pulled through the city.
