EU scientists say western Europe saw warmest June-July on record

Europe and beyond continues to battle wildfires and droughts because of ongoing extreme heat. Record-breaking temperatures are affecting everything from electricity to food supply, with fears the economic cost of back-to-back heatwaves could be huge. It comes as the EU’s global warming monitor says western Europe has experienced its hottest June – July period on record. Meanwhile wildfires in western Canada have killed at least one person, as typhoon Dolphin brings extreme heat to Hong Kong. TRT World’s Victoria Innes reports.
