A Nevada Army National Guard helicopter dropped water on the massive Hawk Fire near Reno, Nevada as firefighters worked to contain the blaze that’s forced tens of thousands of residents from their homes. The wildfire has burned through more than 60km² of land, destroying at least 32 homes and injuring seven people, while containment reached 27% by August 24. More than 900 firefighters continued battling the fire as authorities continue investigating the human origins of the blaze.
