For a second night, dozens of protesters clashed with police, blocked roads and set tires on fire in Tunisia’s coastal city of Ben Guerdane as they demanded faster search efforts following the sinking of a migrant boat on August 21.
At least 11 bodies were recovered, while three remain missing as search operations continue. The boat was carrying 15, mostly young migrants from the city. One survivor has since been rescued after reportedly spending 48 hours adrift at sea.
