Search teams crawled through mud-filled tunnels on September 2 in a bid to reach nearly 600 workers trapped at the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower plant in Rasuwa, Nepal, a week after the devastating floods that swept through the region. Crews squeezed through boulder-blocked passages and excavated thick mud along the almost 10-kilometre-long tunnel. Officials have also used explosives, but access remains blocked and rescuers have still not reached the plant.
