Debra Shushan, former director of policy at J Street, tells TRT World that she thinks Congress will try to block arms shipments to Israel if Democrats win a majority.
She says some Democrats will also likely pursue inquiries into the killings of Americans in the occupied West Bank and issue official condemnations of violence by illegal Israeli settlers.
However, Shushan says the Democratic Party remains deeply divided over its Israel policy, and it remains to be seen whether lawmakers will be able to reach a common position.
