Long-awaited peace talks have finally resumed between the Afghanistan government and the Taliban in an effort to end nearly two decades of war. The US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, spoke along with representatives from each side in Doha, as all expressed a hope for ‘wide lasting peace’.
