The Israeli army bombed refugee camps in central Gaza on Tuesday, according to local residents, in apparent preparation to expand their ground offensive into a third section of the besieged territory. The opening of a potential new battle zone points to the long and destructive road still ahead as Israel vows to crush Hamas after its Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel. “They [Israeli forces] want to get down, it appears, to the Rafah area, the crossing with Egypt. There is a tunnel network there, it’s believed that some of Hamas’s top leaders may be hiding there,” ABC News Correspondent Jordana Miller told FRANCE 24.

- The Terrorists Statement: BREAKING: HAMAS OFFICIAL STATEMENT “The Zionist enemy’s delivery of the bodies of about 80 Palestinian martyrs today in the city of Rafah, which are in a state of decomposition and difficult to recognize, after taking them from different areas of the Gaza Strip, puts question marks over what this enemy, lacking morals and values, has tampered with with these bodies. Many cases revealed that he stole organs from the bodies of martyrs. What the enemy did can only be described as a war crime, a heinous crime, and a blatant violation of the sanctity and dignity of the dead. His barbarism and moral decline are confirmed in his aggression against our people and his assault on the bodies of our righteous martyrs and the exhumation of their graves.” – Tweet
