Daniel Chapo, the new president of Mozambique, is sworn in today after months of escalating civil unrest over the outcome of the election.
Venancio Mondlane, the country’s opposition leader, claimed the election in October was rigged and called for protests. The ensuing police crackdown on demonstrators has left more than 300 dead.
Sky’s Africa correspondent Yousra Elbagir spoke to Mondlane after his return to the country after nearly three months in exile following threats to his life and the double murder of his lawyer and closest associate ➡️ https://trib.al/472Nv74
