A state funeral has been held in Tehran for dozens of scientists and military commanders killed in Iran’s 12-day conflict with Israel. They were the first public funerals for top leaders since a ceasefire took effect on Tuesday. Large crowds lined the streets of the capital to mourn the dead.
But the country’s most powerful man, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was not there.
