At least 25 people lost their lives when a bus carrying mourners from a funeral overturned in western Kenya, marking one of the region’s deadliest accidents this year.
Kenya has seen a surge in fatal road incidents in 2025, with causes linked to speeding, reckless driving and poorly maintained vehicles.
This tragedy follows a series of deadly transport accidents, including a light aircraft crash and a fatal train collision earlier this week.
