Syrian government forces have entered Deir Hafer in eastern Aleppo after the YPG terror group withdrew from areas west of the Euphrates, allowing displaced residents to begin returning home. Civilians say they’re relieved by the army’s arrival but they remain traumatised by the looting and hardship during YPG control, and tribal leaders have urged the remaining fighters to lay down their weapons.
