On April 5, 2025, Aboussad and fellow engineer Vaniya Agrawal publicly challenged Microsoft leadership during a company event, raising concerns over the ethical responsibilities surrounding artificial intelligence and its potential role in facilitating Israel’s war in Gaza. Following their intervention, both women left their positions at the company.
