Israel released 110 Palestinian detainees late Thursday from Ofer Military Prison in the occupied West Bank as part of a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas.
Among those released is Palestinian resistance fighter Zakaria Zubeidi, who earlier broke out of a high-security Israeli prison in 2021.
Families and relatives gathered in Beitunia, near Ramallah, to welcome the freed detainees.
