Syria has condemned an Israeli missile strike on Damascus, calling it an attempt to destabilize the country. Israel says it wanted to send a QUOTE clear message to the Syrian regime.
It’s accusing Syria’s Islamist-led government of failing to stop attacks on the Druze minority. The Israeli strike targeted an area close to the presidential palace. It follows days of sectarian violence in Druze strongholds south of Damascus. Members of the Druze community in Israel have been holding protests – calling on the Israeli government to intervene in Syria.
