Protests have taken place in several Syrian cities after a series of Israeli airstrikes in Damascus and elsewhere in the country. Israel said the aim was to pre-empt any military action from Syria’s new regime. But regional powers and the UN have condemned the Israeli attacks. Bassam Bounenni reports from Damascus.
