Britain, France and Germany have called for Israel to lift its blockade and allow the entry of much-needed food and water into Gaza. Israel is under growing international condemnation for blocking the entry of aid into the strip, causing what aid organisations describe as a ‘man-made’ famine. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is also under increasing domestic pressure to immediately recognise a Palestinian state. President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday that France will recognise Palestine in September. Joel Flynn reports.
