After the October 7th attacks, Israel not only intensified its military campaign in Gaza, it turned its attention to Palestinian workers employed in Israel. Many were detained, had their work permits revoked, and others were sent back to Gaza. Rights groups call it collective punishment, while Israel defends the move as a security necessity.
