Israel is continuing its military offensive to take control of Gaza City, despite international condemnation. The Israeli military says Gaza City is now a "combat zone" and that it will no longer uphold pauses in fighting to allow for humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza’s largest population. Hamas has warned the remaining Israeli hostages now face the same dangers as the militant group’s own fighters. Around a million Palestinians are sheltering in Gaza City and have been displaced multiple times.
