The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, in what is believed to be an IRGC broadcast, announced via maritime communication devices that all navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is prohibited. Aspides, EU’s naval mission confirmed that vessels received VHF transmissions believed to be from Iran’s IRGC stating that no ship is allowed to pass the Strait of Hormuz. UKMTO also reported similar warnings from ships.
